Gadsden, AL - Gadsden Regional Medical Center is pleased to welcome Ammar Ahmed, M.D., an interventional cardiologist, to its cardiovascular team expanding access to heart care across the region.
Dr. Ahmed earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in St. George, Grenada. He completed his internal medicine residency at Ascension Hospital before completing fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at Henry Ford Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan.
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Ahmed to Gadsden Regional Medical Center,” said Michael Hall, chief executive officer. “His knowledge expands access to cardiology services close to home and reflects our continued commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care for the communities we serve.”

“I’m excited to join the team at Gadsden Regional Medical Center,” said Dr. Ahmed. “I look forward to serving patients throughout Northeast Alabama and providing cardiology care close to home, where patients can receive the high-quality heart care they need without traveling far from their families.”
