Gadsden Regional Names Chief Nursing Officer

GADSDEN, Alabama, April, 2021 – Traci Howard, RN, has been named chief nursing officer (CNO) for Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
Howard began her clinical career at Gadsden Regional as a nurse on the 9th floor neuro step-down unit after graduation from Jacksonville State University. During her almost 29-year tenure at Gadsden Regional, Howard has served in a variety of clinical positions at Gadsden Regional including director of surgical services, director of sterile processing, director of the outpatient care center and endoscopy, and interim director of women and children’s.

Traci’s excellent communication and collaboration skills have helped her establish collaborative, productive relationships with patients, employees, and providers.”
Howard’s outstanding leadership and clinical skills have been recognized previously. In 2019, she was named Clinical Manager of the Year at Gadsden Regional.
A native of Alexandria, Howard and her husband, Michael, reside in Alexandria. They have two grown children— Kelsie (Justin) Green and Zach (Morgan) Howard.
