Meet the Team

Dr. C. B. Thuss, Jr. is a third generation practicing Occupational Medicine physician in Alabama and is currently the Medical Director and Certified Medical Review Officer of the Occupational Health Center for Gadsden Regional Medical Center. Dr. Thuss was one of the first Certified Medical Review Officers in the United States and serves on the Board of SAPAA and has served on the advisory boards of the American Association of Medical Review Officers (A.A.M.R.O.) and the Alabama Chapter of the National Safety Council. He is a past Vice-Chairman of the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association (D.A.T.I.A.) and is a member of the Advisory Committee on Athlete Drug Testing of the A.H.S.A. Drugs and Medications Program for the U.S. Olympic Committee National Anti-Doping Program. The year 2011 marks 87 years of Thuss family involvement in Industrial medicine.

Jessica Voss graduated from Jacksonville State University with bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 2005. She received her Masters degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama among the top of the graduates with honors. She is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and licensed through the State of Alabama Board of Nursing. She currently holds certification in ACLS, BLS and PALS. Her nursing career has allowed her to practice medicine in various areas of healthcare. She has over 5 years of extensive clinical experience. Since 2004 Jessica has worked for Gadsden Regional Medical Center and completed her residency as a CRNP at Southside Medical Clinic. She currently is working as a Nurse Practitioner with Gadsden Regional Medical Center’s Hospitalist Group and with Dr. C. B. Thuss at Gadsden Regional Medical Center’s Occupational Health Center. She is dedicated to providing quality, cost effective healthcare across the life span. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society.
