Lifeline is a personal emergency response system available through Gadsden Regional Home Medical Equipment. The system allows individuals to retain their independence, while having the comfort of knowing that help is within the push of a button. Whenever help is needed, one press of the lightweight, waterproof help button activates a small in-home unit called a communicator. It puts the individual in touch with a caring Lifeline Monitor who finds out what kind of help they need. The Lifeline Monitor will then contact a responder who will come to the individual's home to check on them. A responder is a predetermined friend, neighbor or relative the Lifeline user has chosen. If the individual needs more professional assistance, the Lifeline Monitor will call for it immediately. Lifeline is the personal connection to people who care and to peace of mind.
