About Gadsden Medical Center

The Etowah Baptist Association purchased The Forrest General Hospital in Gadsden from Dr. Arthur W. Ralls in 1944, renaming it Baptist Hospital of Gadsden. The new facility was dedicated in 1963 on land donated by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. In 1993, the hospital became Gadsden Regional Medical Center, having grown from the original 25 beds to 346 beds over its rich history. The hospital features state-of-the-art technology and a medical staff of over 230 physicians.
